Guidelines for Abstracts for posters

  1. The theme of the poster presentation is same as that of the symposium. [Big Data Analysis and Translation in Disease Biology (Big Data and Disease)] Poster abstract should also NOT include any tables, images, pictures or references.
  2. Word limit: 250 words total abstract (NOT including title, authors and affiliation).
  3. The completed abstracts need to be sent to the email address: scisig.conf2015@gmail.com
  4. Authors: Include author's name(s) (first name, middle initial, surname), affiliation, city and country.
  5. Identify the presenting author by underlining his/her name. Give email address of the presenting author following the affiliation and address.
  6. The official language of the Symposium is English.
  7. Use standard abbreviations only.
  8. Please note that by submitting your abstract to this symposium, you are agreeing to transfer ownership of copyright for the abstract to the organizers of the symposium to enable publication in the symposium proceedings.
  9. The organizers and editors reserve the right to reject any poster abstract that does not meet the above requirements, and to edit abstracts.
  10. Acceptance of the abstract will be communicated to the presenting authors on 6th Jan, 2015 online.

Guidelines for Posters

  1. The official language for the posters is English.
  2. Poster size has to be 3 x 4 feet (Horizontal x Vertical). Stickers for mounting the poster will be available at the site.
  3. The posters should be printed should have good printing quality.
  4. Poster should have a heading at the top that spans its full width and includes the title, the name(s) of the author(s) and affiliation(s).
  5. The main body of the poster should include subheadings such as Introduction, Materials and Methods/ Experimental Procedures, Results, Discussion, Conclusion. The use of diagrams is encouraged especially if it reduces the text.
  6. Excessive use of organization logos / advertisements is not allowed.
  7. If the allotted poster is not displayed or the author is not present at the stipulated time, the paper will be disqualified.
  8. Each poster presenter will be given one certificate. This certificate will be issued under the name of the presenter.
Note: You must be a registered participant to present the poster.
